Kundanbagh is one of the posh colonies in Hyderabad. The scenic parks and greenery here attract everyone towards them. In that very Kundanbagh, there is a house where people even fear passing by. This incident dates back to the year 2002. There was a thief named Sajid who had been keeping an eye on this house for many days. He would gauge from the shadows of people visible through the windows of the house how many people were inside and when the lights of the house turned off, and at what time everyone went to sleep at night.

One night, seizing the opportunity in the darkness of the night, Sajid stealthily entered the house through the back window. Firstly, he searched the ground floor, but found nothing there. Just as he was about to climb the stairs, he heard the sound of a woman coming down the stairs. He quickly hid in the cupboard of the drawing-room. The woman came down the stairs and looked towards the entry gate, holding a knife in her hand. Sajid could now clearly see her face. There were dark circles under the old woman’s eyes as if she hadn’t slept for many nights. Her face was pale, and there was an eerie smile on her lips. Then, the woman went into the kitchen. Sajid came out of the cupboard and was about to go upstairs when he heard the woman scream and cry loudly. Sneaking towards the kitchen, he saw the woman trembling and scraping something on the floor with a knife. Sajid started feeling uneasy seeing the woman, and he thought of leaving with some petty theft. As he climbed the stairs, he saw a girl standing in front of the bedroom, who looked like the same woman. Sajid took out his knife from his bag and tried to scare the woman, but she started laughing loudly and then went into the bedroom. When Sajid followed her into the bedroom, he was terrified to the core. There were three corpses lying on the bed, two of which were the same women he had just seen. It seemed as if they had been dead for about 6-7 days because their bodies had started decomposing, emitting a foul odor.

Sajid immediately fled from the house and went to the police station. There, he told the police everything. The police, accompanied by a team, reached the house. Upon entering, they saw bloodstains on the walls and floor. When they went to the bedroom, they found three corpses there. There was an eerie pattern of blood on the ceiling of the room, and there was also evidence of black magic in the room. Seeing this horrifying sight, even the police were shaken. They initially thought Sajid had murdered them recently and was making up a false story to escape punishment. However, the postmortem reports shocked everyone. According to the reports, they had died from consuming poison six months ago. The police also found a bottle of poison in their room. When neighbors found out about this, they couldn’t believe it. They told the police that the house belonged to Vishwanath, and everything had changed after his death. An old woman and her two daughters used to live there. They were very strange and didn’t talk to anyone. Neighbors also mentioned that they used to see them standing on the balcony of their house every day. Their house lights would often turn on and off, and they would go for walks regularly. The police were shocked to hear all this. In their final statement, the police wrote that the deaths had occurred six months ago and perhaps their mental state was not sound. Since then, the house has been known as the Witches Lair. Many tourists visit the house to see it and try to understand what happened there.
