21st May 2012, it was the crisp summer morning when Ganesh Hegde went to the jungles of Raigarh to take a breathe of juicy mangoes. but as he moved ahead in the jungle the aroma of sweet mangoes suddenly changed into the odour of decayed dead body. He noticed a suitcase beneath a tree. As he opened the suitcase he get shocked to see a half burned body of a women.He immediately called the police.But after watching the dead body instead of doing any investigation police dumped the body there only.After three years Rakesh Maria, a police commmissioner of Mumbai was siting in his Mumbai office got an anonymous call which had blown away his mind completely. The person on the call told him that Indrani Mukherjee and her husband Peter Mukherjee had killed Sheena Bora three years ago.

Indrani Mukherjee was one of the top business women who started a company named INX Media whereas Peter Mukherjee was The CEO of Star Group company. And it will not be so easy for the police to cast aspersions on such big personalities without any strong evidence.He also called into local police stations that was there any missing complaint filed against Sheena Bora but they denied. So Rakesh Maria decided to give this case to his most trusted officer Dinesh Kadam unofficially.Officer Dinesh started his investigation and found that Sheena was missing since 24 april 2012. She also resigned from her company same day and also broken up from her fiance Rahul. he started keeping surveillance on them and it continued for four months.

Finally he got a lead. Shyamvar Rai, the driver of Indrani Mukherjee used to keep a revolver with him. But police didn’t arrested him at that point of time because Indrani was in USA at that time and if she got to know about this she might not returned to India.So police waited for her to return and as she arrived India police arrested her driver under Arms Act.When police inquired him rigrously he got terrified badly and revealed the whole dark truth. He told the police that on 24 April 2012, he, Indrani and her ex husband Sanjeev picked Sheena from Carter road. Then Indrani gave her water to drink and there were drugs in water. After that they went for shopping.As the drugs started showing its effect Sheena got fainted in the car.Then they took her on the barren road of Bandra and suffocated her to death and took her dead body to Indrani house and did her makeup so that nobody felt that she was dead.Then they went to Raigarh jungles to dispose her body.Later on Sanjeev and Indrani took the flight of Kolkata and aslo disposed their shoes that they had weared during disposition of body.

On account of his statement police checked their phone locations on 24 April 2012 and it matched the same. With the help of Raigarh police they also discovered the body of Sheena from Raigarh jungles.On the pretext of all these evidences police arrested Sanjeev and Indrani. Peter and Rahul was also questioned. During investigation Sanjeev accepted that he had killed Sheena for money and Sheena was not the sister of Indrani but she was her daughter from her ex boyfriend .Sanjeev and Indrani has a daughter Vidhi which was adopted by Peter after marriage.Rahul who was fiance of Sheena was the son of Peter from his ex wife.Sanjeev and Indrani wanted that if their daughter got the whole property so that Sanjeev can also get some share. He also gave earrings of Sheena that she had weared before her death and shoes they had disposed.Peter told police that he was completely unaware of the whole truth and he also filed a missing complaint for sheena in police station. On questioning Rahul told police that Indrani told him that Sheena went to USA for further studies and after six months he got a mail from Sheena’s other email Id that she had settled in USA and she didn’t want to talk him anymore.

Meanwhile Commissioner Rakesh got his promotion and this case was given to CBI.CBI started its investigation from different angle.It also found that Indrani Peter had done the moneylaundering of 900cr rupees through their company INX media.And Peter was involved in hiding the truth of Sheena murder.And it was Kajal an employee of Indrani who had done the fake signature of Sheena on her resignation letter and made her fake email id from which Rahul got the message after six months.Finally on November 2015 police arrested all four Indrani Peter Sanjeev and driver and charged them under murder, kidnapping and conspiracy.But all four get bailed till 2023.In an interview Indrani told media that Sheena was the daughter from her step father who had raped her twice and Sheena’s disappearance was part of a poltical move by a powerful politician who was involved in the scandal of moneylaundering..According to her Sheena is still alive and they had shown some video evidence to prove their point.It is still a mystery for everyone that is Sheena really alive or it was a well played card by Indrani Mukherjee?
