Shiva was an IB officer who developed a program to spy on people’s calls and messages in order to help them. On the night of 16 March, Shiva listened to Shalini talked about her wish of getting 98% in her exams, up from 96%, to get a US scholarship with her friend. In order to do that, she decided to go on a blind date with a guy believing it will help her concentrate on her studies. Shiva followed her and both started to fall for each other, but Shiva found it hard to focus on his love life because of his job. On the night of 28 April, Shiva listened to a young girl asking her friend for help as she was alone in her house and scared, due to a power outage at her house despite everyone else on her street having power.

Alarmed, Shiva sent his constable friend Renuka to the girl’s address to help her. However, the next day news headlines reported about the gruesome death of the two women. Shiva visited the crime scene and resigned from the IB due to guilt, but his father encouraged him to find the killer. Shiva set out to check the girl’s chats and whereabouts, where he found that a guy followed her to a café. Through Facebook, Shiva was able to track down another person who knew the stalker. With the provided information, Shiva traveled to the village where the stalker grew up and began his search. From an elderly villager, Shiva finally learnt about the man’s past.

Past: Bhairav lived with his mother, father and younger brother at a cemetery. His father performed funeral rites for the dead to take care his family, but this occupation leaded to Bhairav’s suffering from S.P.D., where he developed an unusual desire to kill victims and watch their families grieve. One day, a child witnessed him killing someone and revealed this to the other villagers. An infuriated mob decided to burn down Bhairav’s house, killing his parents. Enraged, Bhairav left the village to continue his killing spree, along with his younger brother.

Present: Shiva caught Bhairav and interrogated him in a dense hideout, but learnt that he was actually SBhairav’s brother. Bhairav went on live television with a mask covering his face and revealed he had killed 23 people and hidden their corpses in 23 pillars of a metro bridge, and threatened the citizens to left his brother unscathed. He also revealed that he planned to destroy a hospital. Shiva killed Bhairav’s brother in front of the victims’ families, including an enraged Bhairav, who was hiding in the crowd. An upset Bhairav planned to kill Shiva’s family, but Shiva found when his mother called him and told him she was scared because there was no electricity at their house, just as the girl victim had described earlier. Shiva immediately called fire brigade, an ambulance, ordered Pizza so that his mother didn”t left alone in the house. All the people collected in front of his house and Bhairav failed to kill his mother. Thus Shiva was able to save his family.

Shiva became Bhairav’s next target, and he tried to kill Shiva on his way home, with Shiva ending up impaled on a truck. Shiva slowly recovered and resumed the search for Bhairav, as he had shot him before he felt unconscious. He deduced that Bhairav had hidden himself in a house where he could heal, but had imprisoned the owners. Through the use of technology and information from local women, Shiva found Bhairav and arrested him, but Bhairav escaped from police custody and continued with his plan to destroy a hospital.

Shalini learnt about the targeted hospital, but refused to tell Shiva due to a misunderstanding. Shiva tracked down her taxi, where she told him about the hospital. Shiva rushed to the hospital and started to evacuate the people inside, trying to save as many as he could, but was unable to save some patients in time, which left him heartbroken. Bhairav saw Shiva’s grief and became delighted. Shiva spotted Bhairav and became enraged. The two of them fight, with Shiva overpowering and killing Bhairav. In the aftermath, Shiva told the media about the importance of showing humanity and left with Shalini, who was worried about Shiva.
