The Everlasting Devotion

Ram Kapoor was a rich city boy, born to billionaire parents and brought up in Australia. On the other hand, Sona Singh was a traditional, simple desi girl from Punjab who was brought up by her only brother, Raghuveer Singh. Raghu was heartbroken when their father married another woman and threw them out of the house, humiliating them on the way. Their mother died, and her tomb was built on the small land which they owned until Jaiswal, their Zamindar told them that it was his land, since their mother had taken a loan from the man. Raghuveer volunteered to work day and night to pay off the loan as long as they did not tear down his mother’s tomb. Jaiswal agreed, and the local station master Shankar helped them. Slowly, Raghu and Sona grown up. One day, Rhea Bhargav, Sona’s best friend, came to their house to invite Sona to their house as she was getting married. Riya’s cousin, Ram, also arrived on the same day with his mother, Ashwini Kapoor.

In the beginning Sona didn’t used to like Ram. She found him to be a girlchaser and the spoiled brat of a wealthy father.But one day Rhea stuck into a serious problem and for this Sona took the help of Ram.After this incident they became friends. Slowly, Ram and Sona fall in love, but Ashwini did not bear it as Sona was not as rich as them, and was thus not to their standards; Ram was also supposed to be married to Ashwini’s brother Krishna Kant Bhargav’s business partner Jay Prakash’s daughter, Dolly. Ashwini cunningly sent Ram out of the house for some work and humiliated Sona as well as Raghu, who arrived to give blessings to Rhea. But both were thrown out of the house after Ashwini accused them of trying to entice and trap Ram. When Ram learnt of this, he convinced his father for her true love towards Sona and skipped the Australia flight by tricking his mother. He went to Sona’s house and pleaded with her brother to accept him. Raghu gave him a chance, just like he was given a chance by Jaiswal when he was little. Ram was tasked to take care of the cows, cleaned up after them and grew more crops than Raghu by the end of the season; if he does not, Ram will be thrown out of the village and can never see Sona again.

Jaiswal and his son Akash were not happy as Akash wanted to marry Sona. With them and Dolly and her father trying to get Ram to lose the competition, Ram had to work hard for his love, eating red chillies and rice every day, even though he could not bear it. It was easy for him to get the fields plough by oxes. He was kicked by them for many times.He had to eat very spicy food.But Sona was always there to solace him with her love kisses. Through many antics from Jaiswal’s side and Dolly’s side, Ram eventually proved his love for Sona to Raghu and succeeded in growing more grains.He won the heart of Raghu. However, Akash kidnapped Sona and then later tried to forcibly marry her. Ram killed Sunil Rao and Akash, and Raghu brutally beat Jay Prakash and Jaiswal. Raghu, after realizing that Ram and Sona should be together, takes the blame for this and spent seven years in prison. But Sona and Ram didn’t married in his absence and waited for his release. When Raghu got Released from the jail, they both got married in everyone’s presence. After seeing the true love of his son Ashwini heart also melted and she also understood that money has no worth in front of true love.She happily accepted Sona as her daughter-in-law.
